It would be tough to find a general contractor with a more diverse roster of current projects than JE Dunn. The Kansas City-based firm is the construction manager for the world’s first stadium purpose-built for women’s professional soccer (above), which is scheduled to open next spring for the Kansas City Current. The company also is overseeing the construction of new football spaces at Baylor and SMU; building the new Classic Center Arena in Athens, Ga., that will be home to an ECHL expansion team and the University of Georgia hockey; and U.S. Bank Stadium’s upgraded security fence. Founded 99 years ago by a semi-pro baseball player, the company was part of the team in 2021 to develop Riverfront Stadium, a Class AAA ballpark in Wichita, Kan., that was designed and built in a stunning 16 months. — D.B.
