Major sports project completions this year helped the industry’s leader in video board design, manufacturing and installation emerge from a rough patch financially and supply chain-wise. The South Dakota-based firm installed new boards at Citizens Bank Park and Target Field. This football season will see significant new LED projects built and installed at Gillette Stadium — the largest outdoor video board in North America — Lambeau Field and Empower Field at Mile High. Jay Parker, vice president of live event and spectaculars, pilots Daktronics’ sports business. Major projects in the pipeline include Intuit Dome’s more than 52,000-square-foot Halo Board, which will be the largest ever double-sided arena video board when it debuts next year. — B.M.
