Boldyn Networks is a roll-up of six companies related to connectivity infrastructure, including Mobilitie (which was acquired in 2021). The new company is immediately one of the sports venue industry’s most prolific builders of neutral host Wi-Fi and DAS networks, meaning the networks are available to any end-user, not just one specific carrier’s subscribers. Boldyn, which has a companywide deal with ASM Global and its hundreds of venues, is building a new 5G DAS system for Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, one of its more than 220 large public venue DAS networks. It’s handled 5G system deployments at Tropicana Field (2020); Target Center (2020); Crypto.com Arena; and Dignity Health Park (2018) in recent years. Former Mobilitie head Christos Karmis was named CEO of Boldyn’s U.S. business this summer.  — B.M.
