Guardians open Fanatics Sportsbook outside of Progressive Field

Fanatics Betting and Gaming has “opened a retail sportsbook location at Progressive Field in partnership with the Guardians,” according to Ryan Lewis of the AKRON BEACON JOURNAL. The Fanatics Sportsbook “is located outside the Right Field District Gate.” MLB’s rules “prohibit in-person betting counters or kiosks inside its ballparks.” Fans have “been able to, and still can, bet on their phones while in their seats using betting apps.” The Fanatics Sportsbook at Progressive Field is “nearly 600 square feet and features two being windows, four self-service betting kiosks and seven TVs.” Fans wanting to place a bet in the sportsbook “do not need to have a Guardians game ticket to enter.” The sportsbook “will be open from” 2 pm to 8 pm on weekdays and from 11 am to 9 pm on weekends. On Guardians game days, the Fanatics Sportsbook at Progressive Field “will open two hours prior to first pitch and remain open until the conclusion of the game.” Caesars Entertainment opened up a sportsbook inside of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse that location is “much larger at more than 10,000 square feet” (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 8/19).
