Anheuser-Busch back with Commanders 17 months after ending sponsorship

The Commanders have signed a new multiyear sponsorship with Anheuser-Busch making the brewer the team’s official beer sponsor just 17 months after it ended its previous deal with the franchise amid the various controversies surrounding previous owner Dan Snyder. The brewer’s Bud Light brand will sponsor several events and giveaways throughout the season for fans who at least 21 years old. Additionally, Commanders offensive players beginning tomorrow will wear a patch on their practice jerseys for Folds of Honor as part of the agreement. The move to bring A-B back into the fold comes less than 24 hours after Verizon yesterday became the first new sponsor to join the organization since Josh Harris bought it last month (SBJ).
