Media platform Leaders appointed JAMES EMMETT as editorial director to drive its growing publishing business around the world. Emmett will join as a senior member of the Leaders team; he brings knowledge, contacts and experience to the sports business arm of Leaders and will build a new suite of thought leadership and insight content for the 58,000 professionals who are part of the Leaders global network. Emmett joins from sports industry title SportsPro, where, as editorial director, he was responsible for overseeing the outlet's monthly magazine (Leaders). ... The new president of the European Fencing Championships will be STANISLAV POZDNIAKOV for the next four years. He defeated CATHERINE DEFOLIGNY in the election after the other two candidates withdrew from the voting list (EFC). ... ITN Productions appointed ALASTAIR WADDINGTON, a former IMG exec VP, as its first director of sport. Waddington has 30 years' experience in sports, entertainment and broadcasting. His appointment demonstrates the production company’s ambition to expand in both domestic and int'l markets. He has advised sports organizations, brands, investors, broadcasters, production companies and digital businesses, and has served on the board of several sports, media and charitable organizations (ITN). ... The Int'l Drone Racing Association named retail marketing firm LaClaire & Company Founder JEFF LACLAIRE VP/sales & marketing. He began his career working in the NASCAR marketing department in '95 (IDRA). ... Argentine first division side Newell's elected EDUARDO BERMÚDEZ as its new president. He received 2,803 votes from the more than 9,500 club members who voted. Bermúdez defeated LUIS FACCIANO (2,471 votes) and DANIEL GIRAUDO (1,915 votes) in the election (OLÉ, 6/19). ... La Liga side Sporting Gijón VP JAVIER FERNÁNDEZ will take over as club president this week. Current President ANTONIO VEIGA recently informed Sporting execs "he will not remain in the role." Veiga has been the president of Sporting since '13 (EFE, 6/20).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Former Scottish Premiership side Rangers Manager STUART MCCALL has been named the new manager of League One side Bradford City. The 52-year-old will be assisted by KENNY BLACK as he returns to the club where he spent two spells as a player and was in the dugout between '07 and '10. He signed a two-year deal (HERALD SCOTLAND, 6/20). ... La Liga side Granada confirmed the appointment of former Rayo Vallecano Manager PACO JEMEZ as its new coach on a three-year contract. An agreement between Jemez and Granada was reached on Monday, and he will be the first coach "to work under the club’s new Chinese owners" (FOOTBALL ESPANA, 6/20).
