Marketplace Roundup: SC Freiburg Unveils Schwarzwaldmilch As New Shirt Sponsor

Second Bundesliga side SC Freiburg "unveiled its new shirt sponsors during a press conference on Wednesday." Dairy company Schwarzwaldmilch "will become the team's new shirt sponsor starting in '16-17." The company will reportedly pay a little more than €3M ($3.4M) annually for the rights "should the club get promoted to the top-flight Bundesliga." Schwarzwaldmilch "replaces fellow dairy company Ehrmann, which served as the team's shirt sponsor for the past six seasons" (SPONSORs, 4/27).

GOOD JEANS: Red Bull Racing announced the renewal of its partnership with Pepe Jeans London. Pepe Jeans became a team partner in '10, with its branding prominent on Red Bull's cars during four double World Championship-winning seasons, and will continue its long running relationship with the team as official jeans supplier (Red Bull Racing).

Turkish top-tier football side Konyaspor announced autogas systems manufacturer Atiker as its "new title sponsor." The deal, which will run for five years, "will see the Super Lig club renamed Atiker Konyaspor" from the '16-17 season onward. The club is "currently involved in a major partnership with Turkish brand Torque, but that contract is due to expire at the end of the current season" (SOCCEREX, 4/26).

Walkers
"is scandalising the good people of Leicester, Manchester and London with the threat of Gary Lineker's near naked" body. The long-time Walkers ambassador "promised to present Match of the Day in his pants if Leicester won the league" -- an achievement it "can now wrap up at Old Trafford on Sunday" by beating ManU. Walkers "is now parading digital screens around the three cities, featuring a campaign created by AMV BBDO, that show Lineker covered in crisp packets -- which will disappear in real time as Leicester accrue points" (MARKETING MAGAZINE, 4/26).
