BT Sport Decides To Broadcast FA Cup Quarter-Final Replay Over The BBC

BT Sport has "chosen to broadcast the FA Cup quarter-final replay" between League Championship side Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool, "leaving the BBC with Reading vs Bradford," according to Kieran Gill of the London DAILY MAIL. The BBC was criticized for not showing Bradford's 2-0 win over Sunderland in the fifth round. Yet BT Sport's decision to broadcast the match at Ewood Park on April 8 means that the BBC is "left with Reading and Bradford at the Madejski on March 16." The games "will be played over the weekend of April 18 and 19." The draw for the semifinals was made following ManU's 2-1 loss against Arsenal at Old Trafford. The match itself pulled in an audience of 8.9 million, "which pips the previous season high of 7.1 million people tuned in to Cambridge United's fourth round 0-0 draw" against ManU (DAILY MAIL, 3/10).
