Argentine First Division Side Boca Juniors Unveils High-Performance Training Center

Argentine first division side Boca Juniors inaugurated its High-Performance Sports Center on Monday, according to LOS ANDES. The facility, "unique in Argentine football, has the objective of providing the athletes with high-performance tools to optimize performance through a better understanding of physiology and individualized training programs." Boca said that it is the "first step in a joint effort with Gatorade in a search for constant evolution by prioritizing and personalizing hydration and nutrition." It was also announced that "the next step will be every footballer having a personalized hydrating drink to meet his needs." Professionals at the high-performance center will be able to establish profiles for each athlete by determining body mass index, a sweat test to analyze hydration needs and further tests to analyze stability and posture, oxygen consumption and reaction time (LOS ANDES, 11/11).
