FA Of Ireland CEO John Delaney Launches Attack On Scottish FA Over Ticket Allocation

FA of Ireland CEO John Delaney has launched a new attack on the Scottish FA -- branding Hampden chiefs "unprofessional" and insisting there will be "tension in the air," according to Gavin Berry of the Scotland DAILY RECORD. The SFA handed over just 5% of the "entire ticket allocation to Irish fans for Friday night's Euro clash with the Republic -- and refused to dish out any more." With just 3,200 briefs allocated to away fans, "thousands of supporters have been left ticketless to the fury of Delaney and the FAI." Delaney: "The SFA has really acted unprofessionally here with us. They only gave us five percent of the allocation, telling us the game was sold out when it's not. ... The mannerly, and commonsense, thing to have done was give us 7,000 or 8,000 tickets and allow us to allocate them to Irish supporters in the one section" (DAILY RECORD, 11/11).
