NBA, NFL Among Leagues Honoring Military On Veterans Day

Several leagues are lining up military tributes today in conjunction with Veterans Day. On behalf of NBA Cares Hoops for Troops, Basketball HOFer and Naval Academy alumnus David Robinson will participate in the wreath laying ceremony with President Obama at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Robinson tomorrow will visit wounded military members at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The NFL with tonight's Dolphins-Buccaneers game will continue its military tribute. Fans will hold up 50,000 cards provided by sponsor USAA to spell out a message of appreciation, with "Thank You Military" on one side and "Thank You Veterans" on the other. The same tribute was executed during five games this week: Cowboys-Saints, Texans-Cardinals, Broncos-Chargers, Panthers-49ers and Redskins-Vikings (THE DAILY).
