NHL GETS ITS WOODWORTH: FILLS VACANT NHLE PRESIDENT POSITION

          The NHL has named RICHIE WOODWORTH as President of NHL
     Enterprises.  Woodworth will oversee the NHL's marketing and
     merchandising, including brand development, licensing,
     sponsorship programs and publishing.  Woodworth was most
     recently President & CEO of the Greg Norman Collection. 
     Prior to that, he was VP/Marketing & Sales of NH-based ski
     equipment manufacturer Tecnica USA and Foot-Joy Dir of
     Marketing (NHL).  Woodworth replaces STEVE SOLOMON, who had
     been running the division after NHLE President RICK DUDLEY
     departed in June '98 (THE DAILY).
