BARRY DILLER'S USA AFFIL PICKS UP HAWKS GAME IN ATLANTA

          USA Broadcasting will debut local sports and
     entertainment programming on its Atlanta TV station, WNGM,
     according to Cynthia Littleton of DAILY VARIETY.  USA has
     named Atlanta "market vet" Andrew Beskin as GM of the
     station, which will change its call letters to WHOT from
     WNGM.  WHOT "has inked a multiyear deal for the local
     broadcasting rights" to the Hawks (DAILY VARIETY, 9/16). 
     WHOT will debut on November 4 with Bucks-Hawks, the first
     game in its 30-game Hawks broadcast schedule.  Beskin: "The
     Hawks will be the most important programming we will be
     running" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 9/16).
