WHEN YOU CARE ENOUGH TO SEND THE VERY BEST: HALLMARK RESIGNS

          NBBJ Sports & Entertainment "key partner" MICHAEL
     HALLMARK "announced his resignation" from the firm,
     effective July 1, and said that he will "start his own
     consulting firm," according to Jesus Sanchez of the L.A.
     TIMES.  The announcement comes "only a few months" before
     the Staples Center opening, which was NBBJ's "most prominent
     local project."  L.A.-based Rossetti Assoc. Architects Dir
     of Operations ROBERT LYONS, on Hallmark: "He's one of the
     top sports [architects] in the country.  It's a significant
     move."  Hallmark said that his new practice will "focus on
     helping sports teams, municipalities and other clients in
     the development of sports arenas, including the selection of
     architects."  NBBJ and Hallmark said that the move "will not
     have any impact on any current projects" (L.A. TIMES, 5/18).
