GUTKOWSKI LEAVES MARQUEE GROUP IN SFX SPORTS RESTRUCTURING

SFX is expected to announce in the next few days that
The Marquee Group President BOB GUTKOWSKI is leaving the
firm, according to the SportsBusiness Journal's Bernstein &
Gotthelf. As part of the restructuring at SFX Sports Group,
FAME Founder DAVID FALK will serve as Chair. In addition,
FAME's CURTIS POLK was named Exec VP & COO and ProServ's
BILL ALLARD was named Exec VP, SFX Sports Group (THE DAILY).
In N.Y., Richard Sandomir reports that Gutkowski "leaving"
the sports and entertainment firm he co-founded in '95 comes
after The Marquee Group was fully acquired by ROBERT
SILLERMAN's SFX Entertainment two months ago. Sillerman
"provided the seed money" to start The Marquee Group in '95.
Falk, whose FAME was acquired by SFX last year, said
Gutkowski is "leaving by mutual agreement to pursue outside
interests. He felt there are other things to pursue." Falk
told Sandomir that said Gutkowski's parting was amicable:
"It's absurd to say there were internal problems."
Gutkowski was not available for comment (N.Y. TIMES, 5/19).
