EVEN IN OFFSEASON, DOUG FLUTIE STILL A MARKETING HOT SHOT

Bills QB Doug Flutie will join athletes including Mia
Hamm, Nomar Garciaparra and Derek Jeter on the Fleet All-
Star program, a community service initiative. As part of
Flutie's one-year agreement with Fleet, he will assist in
community projects and make personal appearances (Woolf).
In Buffalo, Sharon Linstedt reports that Flutie is currently
shooting a new round of "western-themed" commercials as a
     spokesperson for Rochester-based supermarket Wegmans.
Wegmans spokesperson Jo Natale: "All I can tell you is that
at this very moment he is wearing a cowboy hat and sitting
on a horse. That's all I can tell you" (BUFFALO NEWS, 4/28).
