WARRIORS' COHAN CONTINUES PLEDGE TO REMAIN PSL FREE

Warriors Owner Chris Cohan said Wednesday he is "going
ahead" with plans to sell season-tickets without PSL fees
"even though the Oakland and Alameda County officials
haven't agreed yet to dump the licenses," according to Renee
Koury of the SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS. Cohan: "We won't sell
PSLs ... It's an offer (the city and county) can't refuse."
Cohan, "lamenting that it's hard to sell tickets when his
team is losing," said prices "haven't been set" in the main
sections of the arena. Cohan: "We're selling the arena when
the team's not performing well ... It makes the sales
staff's work a lot harder" (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 2/27).
In S.F., Rick DelVecchio writes that for $95,000-125,000 a
year, luxury suite buyers will watch all 41 Warriors games,
as well as "dozens of nonbasketball events," including
concerts and family shows, totaling 100 shows "guaranteed."
The team's 9,200 season-ticket holders will be invited to
"pick their favorite spots in the new arena," and seats will
be awarded by seniority (S.F. CHRONICLE, 2/27).
