NO TUNA ON THIS MENU AS KRAFT PLANS EATING CLUB FOR STADIUM

Patriots Owner Robert Kraft's central feature of his
proposed South Boston stadium is a year-round lunch and
dinner club, for CEO breakfasts, business lunches and
networking dinners, according to Anthony Flint of the BOSTON
GLOBE. Kraft says revenue generated by the private club, to
be included in the price of premium seating and luxury
suites, is key to financing the $200M stadium without major
taxpayer assistance, and "that is why he wants the stadium
in South Boston, because of access to downtown and the
attractive waterfront setting." One official in the Kraft
organization called the club "a key to the financing, and
that's the whole reason the site is so important." Since
social club dues are no longer tax-deductible as a business
expense, dues would be built into the price of seats, 50% of
the cost of which can be deducted. The proposed stadium
includes 6,000 club seats, sold for a minimum of 10 years,
at an average price of $6,000 per year (BOSTON GLOBE, 1/28).
