STADIUM NOTES

          In Houston, the Harris County Commissioners Court
     agreed Tuesday that $19.5M would be "fair and adequate"
     compensation for Astros Owner Drayton McLane to give up
     control of the Astrodome.  The vote was the last part of a
     four-way agreement leading to a new baseball stadium
     (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 1/29)....New message boards at Oriole
     Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore will provide instant
     radar-gun readings on each pitch and identify the type of
     pitch thrown.  Oriole Exec Dir/Marketing & Broadcasting Mike
     Lear also said the team will replace some signs adjacent to
     the left-field bullpen with "Tri-Vision" ads that rotate,
     and is also hoping to remove some ads from the outfield wall
     (Baltimore SUN, 1/29).
