TBS TABS HOK AND ARQUITECTONICA AS NEW ARENA TEAM

11.12.1996

     TBS selected the architectural team of Kansas City-based HOK
Sports Facilities and Miami-based Arquitectonica to design the
new arena slated for downtown, according to Saporta & Unger of
the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION.  The facilities team will begin working
on the design this week and expects construction to begin a year
from now.  The $215M arena is set to open in '99 (ATLANTA
CONSTITUTION, 11/12).
