"Technical Difficulties" Force "SportsCenter" Into Alternate Studio

ESPN filmed its Friday morning block of "SportsCenter" programming from the "International SportsCenter" studio rather than the show's regular set. ESPN PR News Content Dir David Scott said in an e-mail, "We're having some minor technical issues, fortunately we have other studio options." ESPN's flagship program was able to return to its regular studio for Friday's noon ET telecast (Preston Bounds, Staff Writer).

ESPN’s Hannah Storm said, “You might notice a bit of a different look this morning. This is our new home for the day.” Storm noted that usually ESPN’s Bob Ley “would be sitting here with ‘Outside the Lines’ and … we’re going old-school.” ESPN’s Sage Steele joked, “We kicked him out and we're taking over this for the day” (“SportsCenter,” ESPN, 3/1).
