IGN Video Gaming League Out-Draws Rival MLG In Online Views

The IGN Pro League, a competitive video gaming league formed last year and operated by IGN Entertainment, said earlier today it generated a peak of 346,000 concurrent online viewers for its IPL 4 tournament earlier this month in Las Vegas. The draw is said to be the largest-ever online viewership for an eSports event held outside of Korea. Major League Gaming, a rival property, comparatively drew a peak of 241,000 concurrent online viewers last fall for the finals of its '11 Pro Circuit season. IGN also said the IPL 4 event generated more than 3 million online unique visitors and more than 6 million hours of consumed online video.
