CHANGE FROM 2015: No change

Manfred ends the year with far more wind at his back than he had at the beginning. After a somewhat uneven regular season that raised issues with TV ratings, attendance and pace of play, the dramatic Cubs-Indians World Series captivated the nation and produced the largest TV audience for baseball in more than a generation. Buoyed by rising revenue, Manfred also is closing in on a new collective-bargaining agreement with the players.
