Media Notes: Wales Football Friendlies To Be Broadcast Live On BBC Wales

Wales' football friendlies against France and Panama next month will be broadcast live by BBC Wales. Chris Coleman's team faces France in Paris on Nov. 10 and Panama in Cardiff on Nov. 14. Both games will be broadcast live on BBC Wales TV, BBC Radio Wales, Radio Cymru and online (BBC). 

Polish cable operator UPC Polska added channels Eleven, Eleven Sports and Eleven Extra to its UPC Biznes offer. The offer, "which in this instance is aimed principally at hotels, includes a wide selection of TV channels, broadband internet access, Biznes WiFi and telephony" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 10/31).

La Liga and Yutang Sports announced a media partnership for the next two years, with Yutang Sports becoming the official sports business media partner of La Liga in China. Yutang will deliver the latest events and business news updates from La Liga's Chinese and global operations (La Liga). 

Dutch OTT provider Mobile2Morrow (M2M) launched a fighting sports package with three channels. The new package "offers global fighting sports and events with mixed martial arts, kickboxing, boxing, Muay Thai, armwrestling and more" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 10/31).

MX1, the technical services subsidiary of Astra satellite operator SES, "will aggregate and delivers sports and entertainment channels for sports live streaming provider fuboTV." The channels will be deployed on the fuboTV platform for distribution to multiple devices in multiple formats, "enabling the OTT company to expand its content offering and reach a wider user base of more than 100,000 paying subscribers" in the U.S. (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 10/31).

French pay-TV channel Canal+ renewed its contract with the French Rugby Federation (FFR). Canal+ will continue broadcasting the World Rugby Sevens Series for the next two seasons. Starting in December, the channel will show all stages of the men’s and women’s competitions (L’ÉQUIPE, 10/27).
