Vodafone Spain Launches Sports-Based Service For Bars

Vodafone Spain launched a new offering for bars and restaurants called Vodafone TV Bares, "which will include coverage of all La Liga football matches, including one fixture in 4K Ultra HD," according to DIGITAL TV EUROPE. The Bares offering will offer coverage of La Liga 1, 2 and 3, the Champions and Europa Leagues, the Copa del Rey, Formula 1 and Moto GP motorsports. The sports offering will "also provide" coverage of cycling, including the Vuelta a España, Giro de Italia and Tour de France, tennis, including the French, U.S. and Australian Opens, women’s football, other int'l football tournaments and basketball. The package will include channels LaLiga TV, LaLiga TV 4K, beINSports Bar HD, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2, Movistar+ Formula 1, Motorsport.tv, Movistar+ MotoGP, GarageTV and Fight TV (DIGITAL TV EUROPE, 8/1). BROADBAND TV NEWS' Chris Dziadul reported Vodafone also created Lo Vemos en el Bar, an online community "where any user can find bars that legally show" La Liga 1, 2 and 3 as well as other sports competitions. Vodafone TV Bares is available for new and existing customers for €150 ($177) a month excluding VAT, while Vodafone TV Local Betting can be "hired for" €375 ($442) a month excluding VAT (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/1).
