Bayern Munich Football, Basketball Teams Partner With Software Brand Siemens

Bayern Munich announced engineering firm Siemens will become an official performance partner of its football and basketball teams at the start of the '17-18 sports season. The partnership will run until June 30, 2020. The club and Siemens will work together on technologies and digital products. Plans call for increasing the share of Siemens systems in and around the Allianz Arena, as well as at the offices and training facilities on Säbener Strasse in Munich. Software- and cloud-based services in the areas of power engineering, building technology, safety and security technologies as well as intelligent mobility solutions for local public transportation and traffic management systems will play a major role in the collaboration. Siemens Healthineers, the separately managed healthcare business of Siemens, will be an official partner of Bayern Munich and the club's exclusive healthcare technology partner. Siemens Healthineers will equip the organization's training facilities and Allianz Arena with healthcare solutions and supply the imaging systems used to examine players (Bayern Munich).
