La Liga side Getafe Sporting Dir TONI MUÑOZ announced he is leaving the club in a statement on Wednesday. Muñoz had been Getafe's sporting director since '08 (EFE, 6/28). ... Isthmian League side Wingate & Finchley Chair ARON SHARPE was elected as the regional representative to the FA Council for the coming season (BARNET & WHETSTONE PRESS, 6/28). ... JEREMY CURWIN was appointed New Zealand side Canterbury Cricket's new CEO on Wednesday, replacing former NZ and Canterbury captain LEE GERMON, who spent nine years in the job. Germon is moving to Sydney to become GM of Big Bash League side Sydney Thunder. Curwin spent the past five years at Somerset County Cricket Club, where he was head of commercial operations (STUFF, 6/28). ... Attorney CHRISTOPHER SAMUDA was voted president of the Jamaica Olympic Association. Samuda, who served as secretary general under MIKE FENNELL, "who did not seek re-election after 40 years at the helm," defeated VISHU TOLAN 20-16 (JAMAICA GLEANER, 6/27). ... Colombian LEONEL ÁLVAREZ was named coach of Paraguayan first division side Cerro Porteño. Álvarez replaces GUSTAVO MATOSAS, who "surprisingly" resigned on June 15 (DPA, 6/28).
