FIBA Exec Dir ALBERTO GARCIA announced his retirement after 19 years of service. Garcia's career in basketball began in '62, when he became a referree in his hometown of Mendoza, Argentina (FIBA). ... The PGA Tour named Newell Brands CCO JOSEPH ARCURI CMO, replacing TY VOTAW, who will shift to the role of EVP, global business affairs. Votaw succeeds co-COO ED MOORHOUSE, "who is retiring at the end of the year after three decades with the tour" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/5 issue). ... Tough Mudder Senior VP, Partnership Marketing, Int'l Event Licensing, Corporate Sales & Merchandising DONNA GOLDSMITH is resigning from her position with the company, effective later this summer, after almost three years with the outfit (THE DAILY).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Former Brazil and Man City midfielder ELANO was "named interim coach" of Brasileiro side Santos on Sunday, a day after the sacking of DORIVAL JUNIOR. Elano, 35, joined Santos' backroom coaching staff in January "after ending his playing career last November" (XINHUA, 6/5). ... Indian Super League side Goa announced SERGIO LOBERA will replace ZICO as its head coach. The club said that Lobera, who recently coached Moroccan side Moghreb Tetouan, signed a two-year deal and would take up his role in July (AFP, 6/5). ... League Two side Swindon Town's new manager will be former Bury and Barnsley coach DAVID FLITCROFT. The 43-year-old replaces former head coach LUKE WILLIAMS, "who left the County Ground in May following the club's relegation to League Two" (BBC, 6/5).
