Media Notes: John McEnroe Hopes To Change Name Of Eurosport Tennis Show

John McEnroe kicked off a campaign to change the name of Eurosport's flagship tennis show, "Game, Set and Mats." The program would be renamed "Game, Schett and Mats" to acknowledge the role played by Mats Wilander's partner-in-crime, host Barbara Schett. On a special edition of McEnroe's commissioner episode which aired on Sunday during "Game, Set and Mats," McEnroe called for fans to show their support for the initiative via social media platforms (Eurosport).

At the five-year mark for its presence in France, beIN Sports announced it has 3.4 million subscribers in the country. The pay-TV channel has had “several successes” since the beginning of the year, notably the Champions League match between Paris St. Germain and Barcelona on Feb. 14, which drew 1.8 million viewers. BeIN Sports also announced it records “more than 20 million video views” and “close to 5 million unique visitors” per month (CB NEWS, 6/2).
