Marketplace Roundup: Reale Mutua Launches Ad Campaign Featuring Buffon

Italian insurance firm Reale Mutua Assicurazioni launched an ad campaign featuring the company’s new ambassador, Italian int’l footballer and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. The ad, which was produced by stvDDB and The Family, will be featured on Italian TV, the internet and on the firm’s social media accounts. Reale Mutua Assicurazioni is also an Italian Rugby Federation partner (SPORTS STRATEGIES, 4/14).

The NBA and PlayON announced a multi-year partnership that makes PlayON the official daily fantasy partner of the NBA in multiple markets throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia. Beginning with the 2017 NBA playoffs, PlayON will offer official daily fantasy NBA games in major markets across the globe, including the U.K., France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Australia, Japan and the Philippines. The games will be tailored to local audiences and offered in local languages (NBA). 

Irish energy provider Energia signed a sponsorship deal with Pro12 Rugby. The company becomes a partner of the Pro12 Final Series (Pro12). 

Adidas is "set to take over from Canterbury" as kit supplier to Pro12 rugby side Leinster for the '18-19 season in a five-year deal. A Leinster spokesperson said that the province does not comment on existing contracts, but it is "understood the decision has already been made," leaving adidas with both of Ireland’s biggest rugby brands: Munster and Leinster (IRISH INDEPENDENT, 4/18).
