Makedonski Telekom has concluded an agreement with the company responsible for management of the National Arena in Macedonia "on naming and branding rights for the arena," now known as "Philip II." The operator said that the deal "is in line with the brand and design rules of its controlling shareholder Deutsche Telekom." The agreement is valid for three-and-a-half years. The arena is the home of Skopje's top football teams, "as well as Macedonia's national football team." It will host UEFA's Super Cup in Aug. '17 (TELECOM PAPER, 11/7).
Britvic Soft Drinks and the Rugby Football Union announced a "new four-year partnership" that will see Britvic become the official soft drink supplier to Twickenham Stadium for all England rugby int'l home matches. As part of the agreement, Britvic "will supply a range of its top selling brands, including Ballygowan water, Pepsi, J2O, Drench, Purdey’s, 7up, to the England professional rugby teams, RFU events and competitions, as well as RFU rugby development events." Britvic will "also benefit from a range of partnership rights including matchday branding and hospitality packages at Twickenham Stadium" (ISPORT CONNECT, 11/7).
Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim has extended its partnership with Coca-Cola. The U.S. beverage company will continue to be an official business partner of the club for three years (TSG Hoffenheim).
South African cricket side Titans confirmed Multiply as its "team sponsor in the T20-Challenge." Already on board as sponsor of the Titans in the four-day format and Momentum One-Day Cup formats, Multiply has now also given its brand support to the T20 format (WISDEN INDIA, 11/8).
