Marketplace Roundup: PSG Launches App To Give Fans Immersive Stadium Experience

Paris St. Germain launched an app to offer supporters an immersive experience at the Parc des Princes. FANSPARC will allow PSG fans around the world to create and personalize an avatar and explore the club’s stadium via a 3D virtual tour. The app, developed by PACIFA, offers a range of activities including games, quizzes and the opportunity to chat with other users (PSG).

AWARD SPONSOREmirates Airline and IT outsourcing provider CGI announced they will sponsor award categories at the Team Scotland Scottish Sports Awards. CGI is a first time sponsor of the event, while Emirates continues its support of the Emirates Lonsdale Trophy -- the award presented annually for the Scottish Sportsperson of the Year. The Team Scotland Scottish Sports Awards will take place at the Edinburgh Int'l Conference Center on Sept. 28 (Team Scotland). 

INCREASING INCOME: The Int'l Cricket Council partnered with CSM Sport & Entertainment to provide its associate and affiliate members (AMs) support to identify and increase non-ICC income streams. The philosophy behind the project is to empower members to use commercial revenue to grow the game in their countries and develop long-term success on the field of play. CSM will build a commercial and marketing playbook for AMs which will provide them with a mix of theory and practical tools to help improve commercial performance. Following the completion and roll-out of the playbook, CSM will work directly with a number of AMs to help implement the strategies and tactics, tailoring support to the needs of each individual organization (CSM). 

Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. has been "awarded the title sponsorship rights" of the Bangladesh-Afghanistan three-match one-day int'l series beginning on Sept. 25. The series has been named the "Rocket Dutch-Bangla Bank Mobile Banking Series." Impress Matra Consortium was "awarded the title sponsorship and in-stadia sponsorship rights for a period of two years." IMC has "sold the rights to all the Bangladesh home series to DBBL for the next two years." DBBL will "also be the title sponsor" of the Bangladesh home series against England which starts with the three-match ODI series on Oct. 5 at Mirpur (DHAKA TRIBUNE, 9/20).
