West Ham Tops EPL Ticket Affordability List, Man City Second

Man City is second in the Premier League "based on the affordability" of its season tickets for local residents, according to Alice McKeegan of the MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS. It would take "just 43 hours of work" to pay for Man City’s most affordable season ticket. The most affordable season ticket at the Etihad Stadium costs £299 ($393), "compared to the average resident weekly wage" of £391.50 ($514). The study by Fish4jobs "shows how the Premier League clubs would finish based on the affordability of their season tickets when compared to the average weekly wage of their local residents." It reveals that West Ham offers the "most affordable season ticket in the Premier League," while Liverpool is the "least affordable club to follow for locals." Liverpool finished bottom, as local residents "would have to work for 98 hours -- the equivalent of 12 working days -- to be able to purchase the most affordable season ticket at Anfield" -- £685 ($900). The clubs "which join Liverpool at the foot of the table for the least affordable season tickets" are Arsenal, with 93 hours of work required; and Southampton, with 90 hours of work required to purchase the most affordable season ticket (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 8/18).
