Super League Side Warrington Wolves Reveals Profits Fell By £500,000 In '15

Super League side Warrington Wolves announced that its "profits fell" by more than £500,000 during the '15 season compared to the previous year, according to RUNNING RUGBY. The club’s accounts for the year ending Nov. '15 "revealed pre-tax profits" of £73,019 -- down from £639,950 in '14. A "large contributing factor in the drop" was a £496,000 increase in administration costs, which totaled £6M. Warrington Sports Holdings Ltd.'s accounts "revealed an increase in turnover" of £152,000, while sponsorship was up by £61,000 to £1.47M. Season tickets and gate income fell by £20,000 to £1.6M "while hospitality income decreased" by £14,000, with the average attendance for games dropping slightly to 9,602 from 9,815 (RUNNING RUGBY, 8/9).
