SFR Sport Will Launch Premier League-Dedicated Channel SFR Sport 1 In August

SFR Sport revealed its “Dream Team Foot” for its SFR Sport 1 channel, its channel dedicated to the English Premier League, according to RMC SPORT. Eric Di Meco, Emmanuel Petit, Christophe Dugarry, Frank Leboeuf, Jérôme Rothen, Jean-Michel Larqué and Rolland Courbis will lead the discussions for the Altice-owned channel. Altice owns the broadcast rights to the EPL in France “for the next three seasons.” SFR Sport 1 “will launch on Aug. 13 for the Premier League ’16-17 season opening match” between Leicester City and Hull City. During the channel’s opening weekend, SFR Sport 1 “will show 25 hours of programming over three days and will broadcast all 10 EPL matches” (RMC SPORT, 7/9).
