ROBERT ELSTONE and ALEXANDER RYAZANTSEV have been appointed to EPL side Everton’s board of directors. Elstone joined Everton as deputy CEO in '05 from accountancy firm Deloitte, following four years at BSkyB, and was appointed to the role of CEO in '09. Ryazantsev, who has worked with major shareholder FARHAD MOSHIRI in a number of previous roles, has a background in corporate finance and has held management positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO Bank (Everton).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Argentine first division side Gimnasia sacked coach PEDRO TROGLIO following the team's loss to Estudiantes on Sunday. The decision ends Troglio's tenure as the club's manager after five years (LOS ANDES, 3/16). ... Turkish football club Galatasaray named youth team coach JAN OLDE RIEKERINK its new manager, its third "in a disappointing season." The club's exec board agreed on the 53-year-old Dutch manager to "train the team until the end of the current season." Galatasaray announced on March 1 that Manager MUSTAFA DENIZLI had resigned. Denizli had been appointed to replace HAMZA HAMZAOĞLU. The club was recently banned from European competition by UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (DAILY SABAH, 3/16). ... HARRY REDKNAKPP "has re-entered football with a splash" after agreeing to manage Jordan for two World Cup qualifiers while also mentoring League Championship side Derby County coach DARREN WASSALL. Redknapp "will take the Jordan hotseat" for qualifiers against Bangladesh and Australia this month, saying he was doing it as a favor to FIFA presidential candidate PRINCE ALI BIN AL-HUSSEIN. The former Spurs manager will start work with Wassall this week "as he prepares for the derby at home against Nottingham Forest on Saturday." Derby on Wednesday confirmed Redknapp’s appointment as a "football adviser." Wassall, who was previously the academy director, took over after PAUL CLEMENT was sacked in February (London GUARDIAN, 3/16). ... Super League club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats named former Hull KR Manager CHRIS CHESTER "as their new head coach." He replaces Australian BRIAN SMITH, who resigned last week "after winning just one of their first five games." The Wildcats also announced that Batley and Wales coach JOHN KEAR will join the club as director of rugby for the '17 season (BBC, 3/16). ... The Irish FA said that Northern Ireland Manager MICHAEL O'NEILL signed a new four-year contract after taking his team to the Euro 2016 finals (REUTERS, 3/16).
