Sport1 Draws Average Of 1.3 Million Viewers For 2nd Bundesliga Coverage

German free-to-air sports channel Sport1 "recorded more than 1 million viewers for its broadcast of the 2nd Bundesliga match between SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig," according to Manuel Nunez Sanchez of QUOTENMETER. The game drew an average of 1.3 million viewers starting at 8:15pm on Monday evening. The number translated into a market share of 4%. In the target demographic 14-49, Freiburg's 2-1 victory obtained a 3.3% market share as 380,000 tuned in. The coverage of game, which was played during heavy snowfall, "was a ratings success for Sport1." The channel "usually draws market shares of around 1%" (QUOTENMETER, 3/8).
