Data-driven sports marketing agency Two Circles "reshuffled its executive team to expand internationally as it looks to play a bigger role in the expansion of GroupM's sports marketing offering." Two Circles "has brought in and promoted talent;" Monsoon Accessorize Operations Dir MATTHEW ENTWISTLE joins as group managing director, while former Guardian Head of Membership DALE KIRSOP has been named commercial operations director. Existing members of the Two Circles senior team PHIL STEPHAN, JACKIE HUNTER and KRISTIAN GOTSCH "have been elevated to lead the agency’s global consulting offer, technology development and its Swiss offering respectively." Two Circle’s founders "will take on new roles," with CEO MATT ROGAN becoming chairman and GARETH BALCH taking over his responsibilities. Rogan "will now take on the larger role of devising the growth strategy for ESP Properties" (THE DRUM, 2/15). ... Super Rugby side Melbourne Rebels named STEVE MITCHELL the club's new GM, commercial. Mitchell joins the club from National Rugby League side North Queensland Cowboys, where he led the club’s fiscal growth with acquisition and fulfillment of sponsorship and corporate sales over the last five years. Reporting to club Managing Dir ANDREW COX, Mitchell will lead the strategic commercial growth of the Melbourne Rebels at local, regional, national and int'l level (Melbourne Rebels). ... UTV Media promoted talkSPORT Sales Dir ADAM MILLS to the role of group sales director for national brands, ahead of the launch of Virgin Radio. He will be responsible for the sales of the new stations Virgin Radio, talkSPORT 2 and talkRADIO in addition to his current responsibilities on talkSPORT and Sport magazine. UTV Media has also promoted DAN DAWSON, a head of business development, to the new role of director of business development. He will manage five heads of business development and look to developing creative and content revenues. As part of the changes Head of Business Insight MARNIE VIRDEE will take on the larger role of director of trading and sales operations. Virdee has been at talkSPORT since '03. Business Development Account Manager JESSICA HOLMES will now be a head of business development, reporting to Dawson. She will run the Dentsu Aegis Network and VivaKi agency sales across the group (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 2/15). ... The Spanish Handball League (ASOBAL) on Monday named ADOLFO ARAGONÉS its president for the next four years. He is currently the league's VP and will replace EDUARD COLL, who resigned Jan. 22. Of the 16 ASOBAL teams that voted, nine backed Aragonés, six supported FÉLIX BROCATE and there was one abstention (AS, 2/15). ... Argentine first division side Newell's Old Boys coach LUCAS BERNARDI has become the first coach to lose his job in Argentina this season "only two matches into the championship." The former Ligue 1 side Monaco midfielder quit his first coaching role after his team lost 2-0 to Rosario Central in a derby game on Sunday. Boca Juniors coach RODOLFO ARRUABARRENA "also looks set to lose his job after his team took one point and failed to score" in its first two matches of the season (REUTERS, 2/15).
