Citi Signs On As Presenting Sponsor For Cricket All-Stars Tour Featuring Tendulkar, Warne

Citi has signed on as presenting sponsor of the upcoming Cricket All-Stars tour, which will see some of the biggest names in the sport lead all-star squads onto Citi Field in N.Y. on Nov. 7, Houston's Minute Maid Park on Nov. 11 and L.A.'s Dodger Stadium Nov. 14. Citi, which will use the events for global branding, gets media inventory, on-site signage, shirt branding, tickets and hospitality, and will title and present a Champions Cup trophy for the entire series. The teams will be led by India's Sachin Tendulkar, widely regarded as the best cricketer ever, and Australia's Shane Warne. The series was created and is being staged by N.Y.-based Leverage Agency. Other sponsors include Pepsi, State Farm, and MasterCard, which is running a "Priceless" promotion offering the chance to sit in the dugout during a match as top prize. TV carriage includes ESPN 3 in the U.S., Star TV in India, TSN in Canada, Sky Sports in the U.K. and New Zealand and Channel 9 in Australia.
