Football Federation Australia Charging As Much As $68 For Socceroos-Kyrgyzstan Qualifier

It will cost A$95 ($68) "for the top tier seats" for Australia's World Cup qualifying match against Kyrgyzstan at Canberra Stadium on Nov. 12, according to Lee Gaskin of the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD. Will the Canberra public pay up to A$95 to "watch the Socceroos?" Tickets go on sale for the "football family" on Tuesday, and for the general public on Friday. Football Federation Australia was "understandably keen to push" the fact there are A$99 ($71) family tickets available exclusively for the "football family." The cheapest adult tickets for the general public start at A$50 ($36) for category C, A$75 ($53) for category B and A$95 if "you want the best views available." Compared to how much Cricket Australia will be charging for Australia's one-day int'l against India at Manuka Oval on Jan. 20, the prices for the Socceroos are "on par" (SMH, 9/21).
