Former Scottish Championship Side Rangers Manager On Verge Of Settlement With Club

Former Scottish Championship side Rangers Manager Ally McCoist "is set to agree a settlement" with Rangers Chair Dave King, according to Craig Swan of the Scotland DAILY RECORD. McCoist has "been on gardening leave since last December after tendering his resignation." McCoist "has been entitled to his salary since as part of his 12-month rolling contract which will not expire until December this year." However, "King and McCoist are poised to bring the matter to a close almost three months early." King "is due to travel to Scotland within the next fortnight and an amicable deal between King and the ex-gaffer is on the agenda." At no stage "has King ever quibbled with McCoist’s position and terms." At one point, while stating he would look for a solution to suit both parties, he said, "Ally is perfectly within his rights and there is no conflict between him and the board" (DAILY RECORD, 9/9).
