Marketplace Roundup: Southern Kings Partner With BLK South Africa

Southern Kings "announced a three-year clothing sponsorship deal with BLK South Africa," beginning in '16. The sponsorship "will coincide with the Southern Kings' return to Super Rugby" in '16. Besides BLK South Africa supplying team kit for the Southern Kings Super Rugby squad and the EP Kings professional teams, the partnership "also covers a wide range of replica apparel, which will be rolled out ahead of the Kings' return to Super Rugby" (ALL AFRICA, 8/17). ... Pro12 side Ospreys Rugby signed up Welsh construction business Morganstone "as a shirt sponsor for the next two seasons." The Llanelli-based company is a new sponsor for '15-16, and the away shirts "will carry its logo on the back for the upcoming season as part of a two-year deal" (INSIDER MEDIA, 8/17). ... Roof windows producer VELUX Group signed up as an official sponsor of the men’s EHF EURO taking place in Poland from Jan. 15-31 Jan. The agreement has been closed by Infront Sports & Media. The VELUX Group will benefit from two prominent floor advertising positions as well as an extensive LED advertising presence at the EHF EURO and possibilities for customers and partners facing sponsorship activation (Infront). ... CAA Sports and Polaris Sports extended their global partnership through '18. CAA Sports and Polaris Sports work collaboratively to create global commercial opportunities for its shared athlete clients in the areas of endorsements, speaking engagements, licensing, publishing, motion pictures, TV, video games and the Internet (CAA). ... Shell renewed its title sponsorship of the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix until '16. The Malaysian Grand Prix will be hosted at the Sepang Int'l circuit for the 2015 and 2016 FIM MotoGP World Championship seasons (MotoGP).
