Finance Notes: Constantin Medien Reaffirms Expectations For '15 Fiscal Year

German media conglomerate Constantin Medien AG has confirmed its economic targets for the full year '15 at the annual general meeting in Munich. Constantin Medien expects a clear sales and earnings increase in the Sports Segment (SPORT1 platforms, PLAZAMEDIA group) in the current year versus '14 (Constantin Medien). ... 500.com Ltd. surged after the Chinese online sports lottery operator said that it got a $124M investment from Tsinghua Unigroup Int'l Co. "through the sale of new shares." 500.com, which forecast last month that it "will not have any revenue in the second quarter after voluntarily halting lottery sales since April," said it will sell a 15.2% stake to the group that is backed by state-owned Tsinghua University. Jun Zhang, who oversees China research at Rosenblatt Securities Inc., said, "The participation of a state-owned company bodes well for 500.com’s future market position" (BLOOMBERG, 6/9).
