Franchise Notes: League One Side Bradford City To Slash Season Tickets By $76

League One side Bradford City has cut season ticket prices by £50 ($76) for next season as it looks to expand its fan base after this year's "FA Cup heroics." The West Yorkshire club missed out on promotion and is "now in the midst of a takeover bid" by former EPL side Queens Park Rangers Chair Gianni Paladini, who is "keen to cut prices" and maximize the 25,000 capacity at Valley Parade (London DAILY MAIL, 5/7). ... The former Oxfordshire HQ of the collapsed Caterham F1 team "is to be sold." The Leafield-based team's former 28-acre site includes 150,000 square feet of buildings, offices and a racing car testing facility. Bids in excess of £5.5M ($8.39M) are being sought for the site (BBC, 5/7). ... League Championship side Leeds United Owner Massimo Cellino "has been granted permission by the Football League to return to the club's board." A statement said that the Italian had "taken up the role of chairman with immediate effect" after passing the Football League's Owners' and Directors' Test. Cellino was banned from being involved until the end of the season "after being found guilty of tax evasion in Italy" (BBC, 5/7).
