Media Notes: World Taekwondo Federation Signs Agreement With SBS Sports

The World Taekwondo Federation "signed an agreement for broadcasting and technical services with SBS Sports to provide more taekwondo coverage" in South Korea. The deal "makes SBS Sports the federation's television production partner." The broadcaster "will provide the federation with technical services related to broadcasting at major events promoted by the federation" (KOREA TIMES, 5/5). ... Forthnet announced that the Greek football championship will continue to air live on its Novasports channels. The Greek sports channels signed the extension of the agreement with Super League and obtained the broadcasting rights until '19 (Telecom Paper). ... BT Sport targeted ITV’s highly rated Gabriel Clarke to be its main touchline reporter for its "flagship Champions League coverage next season." BT, having spent £897M ($1.3B) on winning the exclusive rights from Sky, wants to assemble a new team for its live European match broadcasts "that are expected to be hosted by Gary Lineker, with Rio Ferdinand as the lead pundit" (London DAILY MAIL, 5/5).
