Event Notes: FIFA Confirms It Will Use Hawkeye At Women's World Cup

FIFA confirmed confirmed Hawk-Eye as the official goal-line technology provider for this summer's Women's World Cup, which kicks off in Edmonton on June 6. It will mark the first time that GLT has featured at the pinnacle event for women's football and follows the successful implementation of the technology at the 2014 World Cup (FIFA). ... The Indian Premier League's Kolkata schedule "has been slightly rejigged owing to the Municipal elections in the city" with the organizers deciding to shift Kolkata Knight Riders' April 12 to 25 home matches following a request from the police Kolkata. Board of Control for Cricket in India Secretary Anurag Thakur said in a statement, "There will be no 'home' matches of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens from 12 April 2015 to 25 April 2015, as per the revised schedule. In all, the dates of three matches and timings of two other matches have been changed" (PTI, 3/31).
