incentive not only to clubs, but also to confederations and member
associations, to strengthen club football and club structures in their
respective regions (FIFA). ... Morocco "was expelled" from the '17 and '19 tournaments and fined $1M. CAF also demanded a further $9M "in compensation" (SUPER SPORT, 2/11). ... The French Professional Football League announced a partnership with FC Miami City Soccer Academy. FC Miami City is Miami's official football club and plays in the Premier Development League. The regional partnership aims to introduce and promote Ligue 1 to the American public (Ligue 1). ... Australian footballer Tim Cahill "may have shut the door on owning an A-League club" but Football Federation Australia CEO David Gallop "wants to keep it open." Gallop: "That concept has got merit.
