Microsoft, Real Madrid Form Partnership To Ease Fans' Access To Players

Microsoft and Real Madrid have come together to "bring 'Los Blancos' closer to their millions of fans all around the world," according to MARCA. Real supporters will be able to access "even more information" about their team and their favorite players, as well as a "range of images to display on their devices." The agreement will allow Real fans to "follow players individually and obtain images to display on mobile devices." Microsoft Sports Department COO Sebastián Lancestremére said that there are 125 million declared Real fans in the world. Lancestremére: "This technological application will allow fans at the stadium to individually follow the player they want, view repeats of goals from different camera angles, but also for the millions of fans around the world who support the team and its players, to make direct purchases of products and other things related to the club" (MARCA, 2/10).
