NBA Signs Broadcast Deal With Canal+ Afrique To Televise Games In 19 African Countries

The NBA and Canal+ Afrique signed a new broadcast partnership that will see live and delayed NBA games and programming televised in French in 19 countries across Africa. Canal+ Overseas SVP/Channels & Content Francois Deplanck: "We will bring not only live games but also the editorial know-how of our group to French speaking NBA fans in Africa, starting with a special NBA weekly talkshow called Canal NBA." As part of the partnership, Canal+ Afrique will broadcast two live or delayed games per week on Wednesdays and Fridays local time as well as the first round and second round of the NBA Playoffs. The NBA has a long history in Africa with more than 35 African-born players on NBA rosters since Hakeem Olajuwon was drafted in '84 (NBA).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
