German sportswear company Uhlsport has appointed DOMINIK SOLLEDER as its new managing director of sales. Together with Managing Dir of Marketing, Sponsorship & Product Management KARSTEN DORMANN and Managing Dir of Finance, Purchase, Product Development & IT Logistics PETER KUHL, Solleder "will become part of Uhlsport's three-member leadership team." Solleder, "who previously worked for competitor Erima," replaces GÜNTER DAISS. He "will start his new position in March" (MARKENARTIKEL MAGAZIN, 1/19). ... Australian Football League side Western Bulldogs CEO SIMON GARLICK has resigned, ending his four-year term with the club. Garlick's departure completes a "tough few months for the club," after coach BRENDAN MCCARTNEY was sacked and captain RYAN GRIFFEN left the club to join Greater Western Sydney. Garlick has "overseen the development of the Whitten Oval facility" since he was appointed in '11 under former President DAVID SMORGON (THE AGE, 1/19). ... Repucom on Monday named SIMON LONG head of sales for UK&I, based in London. He will assume responsibility for the development and implementation of Repucom's commercial strategy across the U.K. and Ireland. Long will work with rights holders, media platforms and brands to provide insight into the benefits of sport and entertainment. He previously worked as CCO of the Lawn Tennis Association (Repucom). ... Former footballer RICHARD GOUGH joined Scottish Championship side Rangers Supporters Trust and declared himself "happy to help" as the battle for control of the club "heats up." The captain of the "Light Blues' famous nine-in-a-row side has agreed to become a life member of the RST and contribute to Buy Rangers (a vehicle to buy shares) ahead of the club's crucial extraordinary general meeting" (HERALD SCOTLAND, 1/18).

COACHES/MANAGERS: SERGIO HERNÁNDEZ was on Monday named the coach of the Argentine men's basketball team after reaching reaching an agreement with the Argentine Basketball Confederation (CABB). He replaces JULIO LAMAS. Hernández previously coached the Argentine national team from '05-10 and his contract is for the next 20 months, with his "first challenge" the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games from July 21-25 (LOS ANDES, 1/19). ... La Liga side Granada has confirmed that ABEL RESINO will coach the team for the rest of the season. Resino previously coached Granada during the '11-12 season (EP, 1/19).
